We have explored growth in so many forms in these diaries. We have discussed how it can enable you, enable your teams and enable your business. We have discussed how the GDC can use it to change the CPD we do. The potential is huge. We hope you have found value in the posts and are ready to join us on the 7th May for the TubulesLive. We now focus on growth for the team members.
We wanted to add some posts to the growth diaries, dedicated to the many dental nurses, DCPs and teams out there. We hope the previous posts resonated with you but these next ones are specific to you. The last growth diaries were for the dental nurses, hygienists, therapists, the partner and the lab . This one in particular is for that team member who is the gel that holds us all together. The practice manager.
You the practice manager are the one person upon whom the entire team relies on. The practice owner sees you are reliable pillar who will solve all problems whilst the dental team lean on you as the foundation for efficiency.
You have to lead and to please all at the same time. Your to do list is a never ending massive list. Yet somehow so many of your magically achieve it.
On one hand you have to manage compliance. CPD is a list of tick boxes that you to ask your team to do. as they have been prescribed to you.
Yet on the other hand, growth is something you want your team to achieve. You would love to make your team more valuable.
Wel growth can help you.
One of your key roles in your position is to manage people. Growth will give you the skills to learn about behaviour management, creating trusted teams and so much more.
In addition, you have so much knowledge on the insides of running a practice. You could use growth to make these systems efficient in your practice as well as build systems to take to other practices.
You can take these skills anywhere and do things that are beyond your day to day job.
Take the example of Charliegh who went from a being a dental nurse to a practice manager at a specialist referral practice. Charliegh is that awesome team leader who everyone looks upto and relies upon. Her constant growth has helped the practice develop from a 2 surgery to a 5 surgery busy referral practice with 16 specialists.
Charliegh has used Dentinaltubules to help the growth of the team at the practice. She constantly engages them in learning and development beyond cpd.
Like Charliegh ,
