This dental implant workshop is designed to provide participants with a comprehensive understanding of implantology, from the principles of implant treatment to the practical skills required for implant placement. Participants will learn about the latest advances in implant technology, patient selection and treatment planning, and how to manage complications associated with implant treatment. The course includes lectures, hands-on exercises, and detailed case discussions, allowing participants to gain practical experience in implant placement and surgical techniques. By the end of the course, participants should have the knowledge and skills required to incorporate dental implant treatment into their practice, and provide high-quality care to their patients.

Aims and objectives:

  • To provide participants with a comprehensive understanding of dental implantology 
  • To teach participants the practical skills required to place dental implants 
  • To provide participants with an understanding of the importance of proper patient selection and treatment planning 
  • Introduce ridge preservation to maintain bone volume 
  • Importance of Atraumatic Extractions and the relevance to Dental Implants 
  • Understand the basic principles of treatment planning for dental Implants

Learning outcomes:

  • -By the end of the course, participants should be able to explain the principles of dental implantology, including the indications and contraindications for implant treatment 
  • To teach participants the practical skills required to place dental implants
  • Participants should be able to evaluate patients for implant treatment, and develop a treatment plan that takes into account the patient's oral health, medical history, and aesthetic goals 
  • Participants will learn how to identify patients who are suitable for dental implants
  • Understand the basic principles of treatment planning for implant cases
  • Learn how to preserve ridge for future implant planning 
  • Place implants with a sequential surgical protocol for placement
