This lecture and hands-on workshop will go through troubleshooting anterior composite restorations in terms of occlusion and a breakdown of aesthetic parameters. This will include marginal integration, shade analysis and incisal edge anatomy. The day will focus on these factors to a high level and include a number of small details that culminate in a predictable outcome.

Aims:

Highlight and remedy common functional and aesthetic considerations of anterior direct restorations

Objectives:

  • Understand the provision of a predictable workflow to reduce clinical variables 
  • Methods of application of functional considerations 
  • Details included in aesthetic integration at a high level for anterior composites 
  • Methods of mixing composite shades to obtain the appropriate result
