Aditya Naidu started at Barts and the London in 2000 as an undergraduate dental student and, following completion of his BDS, escaped for a brief period of two years to Dudley in the West Midlands before being drawn back to East London as a Senior House Officer in the Oral & Maxillo-Facial Surgery Department at Whipps Cross Hospital.
He then returned to The London and embarked on the monospecialist training pathway in the field of Fixed and Removable Prosthodontics and completed his Masters in Clinical Dentistry and has also been awarded the Membership in Prosthodontics (MPros) by the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh.
Aditya works at his practice in Harold Wood, Essex with a personal interest in management of cases of tooth wear and failing crown and bridgework. He was also a member of the teaching staff at Queen Mary University of London and taught undergraduate and postgraduate dental students at The London over the last ten years.
Having stepped back from teaching at the London in August 2022, he took a break from dental education for one whole month before becoming involved in DFT teaching in Kent, Surrey, Sussex, London, Oxford and Berkshire, covering topics such as removable & fixed prostheses, direct restorations, tooth wear, trauma, etc.
He recalls also completing the Diploma for Membership of the Joint Dental Faculties (MJDF) but, having failed to continue with the fees, is unsure whether he can claim that particular membership any longer…
