Jon Cowie

Jon is a GDC registered specialist endodontist. He has completed a postgraduate diploma in endodontics at The Royal London Hospital and then subsequently, a Master’s in Clinical Dentistry in Endodontics which he passed with Distinction at Kings College, London. He is an active member of the Royal College Surgeons, Edinburgh.

Jon combines his clinical activity with a passion for teaching endodontics. He is involved in training qualified dentists to upskill in endodontics, much of this training is delivered in the teaching academy at Circus Dental where we welcome dentists from The UK and further afield to come and participate in our advanced training programs. This training is delivered with Luca Moranzoni also an endodontic specialist at the clinic. They also run Contemporary Endo online endo education and an educational Instagram Page.

He teaches on the Master’s program in Endodontics at Kings College, London and is recognised as an International Key Opinion Leader for Dentsply Sirona. Within this role, Jon, along with Luca Moranzoni, teach and train other endodontists worldwide. Jon is also a Dentinal Tubules ‘Teacher’ and received the slightly oversized jacket in 2022.

He has a treatment philosophy for contemporary, restoratively driven endodontics which involves preserving as much natural tooth as possible during the root canal process to improve longevity, this is achieved with a workflow using digital technologies across the board.
