Adrian Thorp

Adrian is currently the Clinical Director for the Community Dental Services CIC which is an employee owned not for dividend company that provides services from Derbyshire in the North to Essex in the South. 

Adrian is an advocate for Dental Education and was Training Programme Director for Foundation training in North Wales for 7 years. He continues to teach all aspects of the dental team on Oral Surgery and NHS Rules and Regulations.

Adrian qualified from Liverpool University and is specialist in Oral Surgery and is current Deputy Chair of the MFDS Examination at the Royal College of Surgeons of England.

Adrian is one of the representative that sits on the British National Formulary for NICE to determine the drugs available for the Dental Practitioners Formulary.

Adrian is one of the assessors for the General Dental Council for non-CCST applications to the Oral Surgery Specialist List. In addition he is an expert witness for the Dental Defence Union for medico-legal cases in relation to Oral Surgery.

Lastly, Adrian is an Honorary Member of  BADT.
