Saving implants
Peri-implantitis is an ever-increasing threat in implant-based practice. This lecture aims to give a thorough, evidence-based clinical approach to the diagnosis and management of peri-implant disease.
With severe periodontal disease being the 6th most common disease on the planet it is imperative that dental professionals (dentists, hygienist, and therapists) know how to accurately treat this condition and what is possible. Increasingly we see a lack of confidence in periodontally compromised teeth and an over confidence in dental implants.

Aims & Objectives
- Enable delegates to diagnose and treat peri-implant disease.
- Discuss and demonstrate case management, specifically relating to the non-surgical and surgical treatment of peri-implant disease.
- To briefly look at what the literature says about prognosis of periodontally compromised teeth.
- To look at treatment options for moderate to advanced periodontitis.
- To remind people of some of the advanced treatment options and look at their success rates.
