Like the simplicity of injection moulding composites but unconvinced by the mechanical and aesthetic results obtainable with flowable resin composites?
In this full-day hands-on course, James Baker (Honorary Associate Professor, past President
of The British Society for Restorative Dentistry, specialist in prosthodontics and owner of a
Wimpole Street practice) will lead you through his step-by-step technique to restore worn
anterior and posterior teeth using robust, beautiful, paste composite placed using the
stamp technique.
Aims:
The aim of the day will focus on the use of composite onlays to restore wear. The speaker will cover free-hand, injection moulding and stamp techniques. The tried and tested format of high-
resolution technique photography coupled with live clinical demonstration and close hands-on support of participants by a very experienced educator in the field will ensure an extremely high
quality educational experience.
Objectives:
The Speaker will demonstrate the precise clinical techniques required to provide predictable and high-quality composite restorations as onlays.
Learning outcomes:
By the end of the course, participants will be able to:
- Construct high quality direct composite onlay restorations appropriate for the treatment of extensive both anterior and posterior wear
- Feel comfortable tackling more demanding extensive anterior and posterior restorations in composite resin.
